2025 Keelung Port Cluster Free Trade Zone Investment Promotion Forum

:::

To help businesses industries in northern Taiwan better understand the advantages of the Free Trade Zone (FTZ), the Keelung Branch held the "Seaport Free Trade Zone Northern Taiwan Investment Promotion Forum" on December 5, 2025.

The forum was chaired by President Sung Yi-chin of the Keelung Branch and featured representatives from the Northern Maritime Center of the Maritime and Port Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), and Keelung Customs of the Customs Administration, Ministry of Finance, who briefed participants on FTZ incentives and advantages, application procedures, customs processes, and operating models. The Branch also reported on the status of operators in the Keelung Port Cluster FTZ and detailed the available investment opportunities at the Port of Taipei and the Port of Su'ao. Dedicated consultation booths were set up at the venue for participating businesses to consult further with the Maritime and Port Bureau, the Customs Administration, and the Branch, facilitating a dynamic networking environment.

The FTZ offers diversified operating models—including direct operations, outsourcing operations to existing FTZ enterprises to operate on one's behalf, and "front shop, back factory" collaboration—helping companies integrate upstream and downstream supply chains. Whether in automotive logistics, sea–air intermodal transport, cold-chain logistics, or smart logistics, the FTZ provides a high-quality environment that strengthens international competitiveness.

The forum successfully strengthened regional industrial linkages, advanced industrial value-added activities and local economic development, and continued to foster a mutually beneficial industrial environment.
