In addition, ‘Hualien Port Environmental Education Center’ was officially certified as an Environmental Education Center by the Ministry of Environment on October 22, 2024, making it the 11th certified Environmental Education Center in Hualien County. The center blends the port's historical legacy with sustainability efforts. It features two innovative educational programs—'Port Explorer’ and ‘Water Way of the Port’—designed to help participants to understand port history and the importance of resource sustainability.
‘Port Explorer’ guides participants through Hualien Port’s history via a tour of the Harbor Museum and interactive games, helping them understand the connection between maritime transport and daily life. The ‘Water Way of the Port’ introduces the diverse uses of water resources, enhancing participants’ awareness of water conservation and sustainable development.
