Message From President

“With innovation and sustainability as the driving force, TIPC will lead Taiwan to connect with the world and sail into the future.”

As an island country, Taiwan’s ports play an important role in both international trade and people's livelihood. Since established in 2012, Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC), responsible for the operation and management of Taiwan's seven major international commercial ports, including Keelung, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Hualien, Taipei, Anping and Suao, has entered its 12th year. We integrate the resources of the port group with determination of teamwork, and invest in constructions based on each port’s positioning aiming to maximize the overall effectiveness of our geographical and industrial advantages.

Seeing that the wave of Industry 4.0 has brought revolutionary changes to global industries, TIPC strives to create the next growth curve through digital and sustainable dual-axis transformation. Traditional port operations are being changed to be safer, more efficient and providing better service via a series of smart port projects introducing emerging technologies such as the IoT, big data, ICT and AI technologies. In the meantime, faced with the challenge of global net-zero carbon emissions, TIPC has completed the carbon reduction blueprint for the port group, and promoted the development of renewable energy, storage and generation of energy in ports on the basis of national energy policy. Together with the shipping industry, we are working to create a low-carbon and sustainable port environment.

Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on innovation and adhere with the vision of " becoming an outstanding global port operator". We will pay close attention to the development trends of international shipping and ports, combine national policies and local development demands, steadily carry out businesses, and emphasize environmental friendliness, social responsibility and corporate governance to fulfill the concept of ESG. We hope that through the efforts from all colleagues, TIPC would become a modern port group that leads the future.
