The above international commercial ports are considered as the national gateways of passenger and cargo transportation as well as the key role of shipping industry development in Taiwan. Hence, the port operation and management will have significant influence on the economy and trade development.
Due to the changes of the global shipping market and the fluctuations in the domestic and international markets, TIPC faces daunting challenges. Therefore, in order to consolidate the standing of the port hub of Taiwan, it is necessary to recruit the main shipping operators to deepen the Taiwan port group, establish its operating base, and promote high-quality port facilities, as well as executing various core businesses to strengthen the function of container hubs.
In terms of cruise business, we create a good growth record for passengers through optimizing travel facilities and providing rapidly customs clearance. Simultaneously, there are many outstanding achievements including the port waterfront investment, the expansion of new energy business, and the new southbound overseas investment. We are keep going to explore the new port value, look for further diversification development in the future.
TIPC will follow the vision of “taking innovation as the core, going global and becoming an excellence of global port group”, with the three main business objectives of teamwork, innovation and sustainable development. TIPC will continue to focus on the core business development of the port industry and emphasize the collaboration with the operator and local governments to actively create a favorable business environment.
In addition, to cope with the new generation artificial intelligence, we invest in port and terminal operation through innovative technology, to optimize transportation efficiency and safety, and enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan port group. In the future, for the sustainable development of port operation, we will keep seeking new business models and create the diversified port business. In order to put the concept of sustainable operation into practice, create the niche market of prosperity growth in shipping industry, we will pay more attention to pass down our port experience and talent cultivation, and further lead Taiwan shipping industry moving forward.
