(1)Reasons to do Business with Taiwan's Free Trade Zones
Taiwan - Centrally Located, Internationally Accessible

Over 600 free trade zones and similar entities currently operate across the globe, including in countries and regions in Taiwan's general neighborhood su ch as Singapore, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. These zones have emerged as key hubs of international trade and commerce in today's increasingly integrated global economic system. With free trade zones in East Asia competing heatedly for business, TIPC is building Taiwan into a new nexus of Asia-Pacific trade. Not only are our ports situated at the geographic center of East Asian regional trade flows and directly astride the global trade routes linking East Asia to the Americas and Europe, TIPC ports offer a myriad of incentives and advantages that make Taiwan the winning partner for trade in Asia.

Taiwan's exceptionally convenient location, strong goods-handling and shipping infrastructure, rapid customs-clearance process, well-established and diversified manufacturing base, and comprehensive B2B infrastructure help businesses consolidate their critical trade, logistics, financial, and information flows. The result is faster, more effective handling of all aspects of international commerce - from supply and order placement to shipping and sales management.

The prominence of Taiwanese multinationals in regional and global product / service sectors has given Taiwan decades of practical experience in supporting and enhancing their globe-girding operations. Direct links to Taiwan's strong manufacturing capabilities are one of our free trade zone's most definitive competitive advantages. Furthermore, computer and communication technologies and tools enhance client management of logistics data, while flow, risk, and other management tools increase the overall convenience and safety of logistics operations.
